  • Frazer Bourchier

    President and Chief Executive Officer

    Frazer Bourchier is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years of domestic and international experience leading open pit and underground operations. His breadth of experience includes both operational field management and executive corporate oversight leadership. Most recently, Mr. Bourchier was Chief Operating Officer of Detour Gold, who spearheaded the 2018 turnaround of the Detour mine prior to its sale to Kirkland Lake Gold. From 2012 to 2017, Mr. Bourchier was Chief Operating Officer at Nevsun Resources, where he provided leadership for the successful gold oxide mining operation and the development of the copper and zinc expansion projects at the Bisha open pit. Prior to that, he worked at Silver Wheaton, Intrepid Mines and Placer Dome (subsequently Barrick Gold) where he held positions of increasing responsibility including Mining Manager and General Manager at the Porgera open pit gold mine. Mr. Bourchier has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Applied Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto.

  • Graham du Preez

    Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

    Over 20 years of finance experience, including leadership roles in a complex, publicly-traded, international mining company as well as junior mining companies. Most recently, Mr. du Preez was the Chief Financial Officer of Alloycorp Mining Inc. and Buffalo Coal Corp, both controlled by a mining-focused private equity fund as well as the Chief Financial Officer of Uranium One Inc. from June 2010 until April 2013.  Prior to joining Uranium One, Graham held positions in the financial services industry, with a focus on treasury and asset management.  Graham qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Honours degree and an Honours Diploma (Tax) from the University of Johannesburg.

  • Dan Gagnon, B.Sc.

    Vice President Operations

    Mr. Gagnon brings to Harte Gold over 30 years of experience in geology and general management from a wide range of operations across Canada. Dan started his career in geology, ending after 13 years as Chief Geologist at Musselwhite Mine in Ontario. Over the following 17 years he worked as General Manager at a number of Canadian operations, most recently the Hope Bay Project in Nunavut, Canada. Mr. Gagnon holds a Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Geology from the University of Ottawa.

  • Shawn Howarth, MBA

    Vice President Corporate Development

    Over 15 years of corporate finance, mining, and capital markets experience.  Formerly an investment banker with Standard Chartered Bank.  He has worked with several public and private mining companies with a focus on corporate strategy, shareholder engagement and growth initiatives.

  • Karen Walsh

    Vice President People and Organizational Development

    Ms. Walsh is a seasoned executive with over 30 years’ experience in recruiting, succession planning, cultural change initiatives, HR process optimization, global leadership development and performance management.  Previously Ms. Walsh was with Golden Star Resources as Vice President in a similar capacity.  Prior to Golden Star, Ms. Walsh spent six years consulting in the mining industry following her role as Vice President, Human Resources for Placer Dome Inc.
